Member of the company's executive team, with primary responsibility for overseeing the company's legal and litigation activities and leading and managing international teams that analyze patent portfolios, identify valuable patents, develop and implement strategies for commercializing those assets, and close license deals. Experience includes:• Lead negotiator responsible for generating a half billion dollars from intellectual property assets owned by IPValue partners through license negotiations with U.S., Asian and European companies• Developing and implementing creative litigation strategies, including managing pre-trial and trial activities and handling settlement negotiations• Managing the legal and technical operations and resources for commercializing patent portfolios, including identifying new opportunities, coordinating reverse engineering activities, preparing materials for use in license discussions, and leading teams in third-party negotiations• Handling matters relating to patent pools, standards essential patents, FRAND licensing obligations and post-grant patent re-examinations • Identifying potential business partners, analyzing patent portfolios, and drafting and negotiating partner contracts• Advising private equity firms on patent commercialization opportunities associated with their potential purchase of technology companies• Analyzing thousands of patents in diverse technology areas, including telecommunications (3G/4G, wireless, VOIP); video (MPEG-2, MPEG-4); e-commerce; xerography; imaging; semiconductors; personal computing; and LCDs.

Represented clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to smaller, rapidly growing technology companies, as both plaintiffs and defendants, in patent, trademark and license disputes, in federal and state courts, in arbitrations and before the International Trade Commission. Experience includes presenting and cross-examining witnesses at trial; arguing motions; taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses; and developing and implementing discovery and trial strategies.
