Joined RateSetter to be a single point of contact and relationship manager for RateSetter’s wholesale lending clients, with total lending balances in excess of £100m. Tasked with negotiating and restructuring all of the existing wholesale lending facilities to make them operationally more efficient and structurally more secure with improved covenants. Clients were mostly SME lending businesses that required funding from RateSetter.Origination of new wholesale lending and structured finance facilities, including structuring facilities to fit the P2P model, credit assessment and approval at Board level, legal documentation, drawdown and in-life management.Developed a new ‘hire-purchase’ product for RateSetter commercial customers, the first HP product to be offered in the P2P market, providing a fully asset secured lending product.

Backpacking Through 24 Countries

Following redundancy from my previous role, I travelled around the world backpacking with my wife, something I missed out on as a student, visiting countries such as India, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, 12 US National Parks and Canada. Also travelled through 12 European countries.
