Merged United Spinal with National Spinal Cord Injury Association, thereby creating the largest membership organization in the United States dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with spinal cord injuries and disorders. Integrated UsersFirst into United Spinal's public policy efforts, augmenting United Spinal's professional advocacy efforts on behalf of people with disabilities with grassroots advocates and local initiatives.

As Deputy Executive Director of Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association, I was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations that provided programs and services to paralyzed veterans in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. These services were comprehensive and were designed to help maximize the independence, community integration and quality of life of paralyzed veterans as they moved from initial injury or diagnosis, through hospitalization and rehabilitation, and back to their community. Programs included veterans benefits, legislative and personal advocacy, sports and recreation, membership, home modifications and more.
