Infrastructure Management Services oversees the ITSM work flow for the Enterprise Data Center at LLNL. Efforts include: • Part of a team responsible for consolidation efforts lab wide to move or convert servers into the Enterprise Data Center. Efforts include move meetings for scheduling and identification of applications and servers.• Maintenance coordinator for all planned and unplanned outages of the EDC and its services. MS Project used to track and schedule all stakeholder tasks, Lab wide outage communication, responsible for restoration of service.• Active Directory group set up and creation, using VAS authentication.• Workflow design and implementation using the institutional ticketing system Frontrange, and documentation of EIS processes which touch multiple groups and vendors.• Escalation point of contact for EDC customers, both during business hours and off hours.• Verification of network set up for all physical servers being installed into the EDC, Cisco 6509 Edge Switch’s, verify and set ports, VLAN coordination and MAC address validation, ensuring correct installation and configuration.• KVM out of band access setup and switch configuration using HP Console Viewer, integration with LDAP services, object creation of switch, computer, and user profiles in HP Directory Studio.• Lifecycle refresh and new system install coordination of servers to new hardware or migration to VM.

Working at MP was one of the best learning experiences of my life. Working my way up from Tech Support Associate > Network Engineer > Technical Lead > Manager of Technical Services was such a great journey for me. I was responsible for all day to day operations in the Tech Support Arena, escalations, time cards, dept rep for all company meetings, helped me become the employee I am today. It was a sad day leaving MP, but I had to further my career and tried my hand at working for the Gov't, LLNL.
