The Chief Operations Officer provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that Extreme Microbial Technologies (EMT) has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, as well as people systems in place to effectively grow/scale the organization and to ensure fiscal strength and responsibility. The COO oversees EMT's ongoing operations and procedures with the goal to secure functionality of all business areas to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

P&L responsibility for all aspects of company including sales forecasting, production scheduling, raw materials and finished goods inventory management, marketing, company growth and cost control for line of aquarium medications, water conditioners, and accessories.

Reported to President. P&L responsibility for this privately held chain employing 400+ operating 33 stores in three states (Jack's Aquarium & Pets) and an e-commerce division (www.PetSolutions.com). Responsibilities included budgeting and day-to-day operations of all retail stores, sales training, sales incentives, staff and management development, facilities management, as well as livestock procurement, housing and distribution. Part of the Senior Management team with additional responsibilities in marketing, merchandising and strategic/tactical planning.

Reported to CEO and CFO. P&L responsibility for management of this privately held chain employing 300+ with 27 stores (Jack's Aquarium & Pets) and e-commerce division (www.PetSolutions.com). Responsibilities included day-to-day operations of retail stores, support center, and e-commerce sales division including customer service, sales, merchandising, marketing, distribution as well as staff training and development.

Reported to CFO. P&L responsibility for start-up and management of new mail order catalog and e-commerce division (PetSolutions). Responsible for complete catalog and e-commerce operation including all budgeting, marketing, merchandising, operations, fulfillment, customer service, design/creative, production and staffing needs.

Reported to the Corporate Vice President, Merchandising. P&L accountability for managing $50MM budget in the establishment of $100MM Pet Food and Supply Division. Developed and implemented merchandising strategies for this $575MM retailing subsidiary of General Host Corporation employing 3000+ with 256 stores in 16 states.

Reported to Executive Vice President. P&L responsibility for establishing merchandising plans/programs for $42MM line of pet food and supplies for this privately held, retail chain with 48 stores in 6 states employing 500+ with $70MM in annual sales.
