Initially I was a contractor providing network and system architecture redesign services as well as break/fix solutions for many problems that plagued the company. Two years into that relationship I was asked to be the IT Director and take over their software development work. I provide technical expertise for projects, team training and mentorship, and guidance for senior management on how technology can be used to further our objectives. I’ve lead and executed the complete virtualization of all on-prem servers to meet the high availability requirements of manufacturing, developed disaster recovery plans for all systems and generated documentation to ensure recovery can be performed by outside teams if needed. I lead the way on upgrading aging code written in VB 6 to modern languages and frameworks like C# and .Net Core, as well as the implementation of cloud integrations with multiple vendors.

As the IT Manager I planned and executed the removal of three overlapping and conflicting network designs, replacing them with a modern scalable and maintainable structure. I regularly provided training to other IT staff and worked with other department heads to coordinate projects and direct resources, ensuring that projects met deadlines and budget requirements.
