CompTIA provides IT training and qualifications for IT professionals and those embarking on a career in IT. I am an active CompTIA member, and continue to recieve information, support, and guidance, with the ultimate aim of entering into IT employment. After successfully completing an 8-week full-time IT training programme with CompTIA, where through role-play, trained to acquire the knowledge and skills required to carry out an entry-level IT role.

As a small part of a wider support network (an outreach) of the church, I help support the homeless in my local community. Providing essential provisions, such as food, clothing and shelter, but more importantly, build strong support networks for those who are vulnerable. It is a privilege to be a part of and to witness the work done by those within the church.

Occasionally volunteer to carry out various tasks on a local farm for a fellow church member and friend. Tasks include demolition, building, and general maintenance work, helping out with tasks my friend in his 80s struggles to do.

I gave time to help out an OXFAM charity shop within my home town. As a team of 4-6 volunteers and 1 manager, we managed to generate quite a lot of revenue for the shop's relatively small size, generating on average around £2,000 a day for charity. My duties included serving customers, operating the cash register, dealing with requests, enquiries, and complaints. I gained a lot of customer facing experience here, was given a lot of responsibility, and learned a lot about the managerial side of things.
