In this role I was responsible for leading projects from DD phase through the CA phase. I also worked in teams on other projects. I enjoyed the variety, it's nice to be able to lead projects independently, but I found it very valuable to work on a team and be able to learn from others. I experienced many different project types, both new and remodel. I was able to be involved with many industrial/warehouse projects, student housing, multi-family housing, senior living, retail, churches and schools. Being the project leader meant being responsible for managing the budget, time management, communicating with many different trades, both within and outside of Opus, as well as being able to do my own modelling and drafting. Part of the job was also to coordinate with the in-house design team to ensure our final product met their design intent. This involved maintaining design ideas throughout the process of revisions from code requirements, owner/customer changes, detail development, etc.

As a project associate, my job was to work with the design team to develop their concepts and ideas into a documented and modeled project that can be built efficiently, meets the budget, code, zoning and accessibility requirements and of course kept the original design intent.I worked under a variety of architects and managers to develop and document a variety of projects. I loved the ability to work independently and also in a team setting. As a project associate I was able to participate in a wide variety of the different parts and pieces that go into a project, such as master planning and site documentation, virtual reality modeling and presentation, code research, project documentation, conceptual 3D modeling, and site measuring and verification.

Responsible for keeping clay pigeon throwing machines up and running, well maintained and loaded. Calibrated machines before tournaments. Performed general maintenance, grounds keeping, clean-up, and repairs. Operated throwers and kept score for customers.
