In Greg Ashby's lab I am studying several facets of rule based category learning. One of my projects in Dr. Ashby's lab is the development of a neurocomputational model of automaticity in the rule-based category learning system. In another project I am investigating how and why some category learning rules are harder to implement than others.

In Craig Montell's lab I worked with graduate students and post-docs on several projects investigating the function of proteins involved in gustatory sensation in the fruit fly. During my time in Dr. Montell's lab I learned to perform genetic crosses as well as many bench techniques including: PCR, Cell Cloning, Electrophoresis, etc.
