RevMedx develops lifesaving products to treat traumatic bleeding, including XSTAT, a first-in-kind device to treat junctional hemorrhage in prehospital and emergency settings.

Defined Ziba’s strategy in the field of healthcare innovation and experience design, managed practice group, led business development efforts, built partnerships with healthcare and medical device companies, and led design programs. Project experience at Ziba included home-health and clinical devices, health IT, and healthcare services—with high-tech start-ups and multinationals like Philips, GE Healthcare, Baxter, P&G, and J&J.

Responsible for Stryker’s Surgical Navigation sales in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions. –Covered eight states with a team of seven direct-report sales engineers. –Managed a sales pipeline with an average of thirty active deals and a revenue that grew from $3.1M–$5.6M in three years. –Developed multi-year sales strategies for high-tech, high-value capital systems–including hardware, software, and service. –Established point-of-contact relationships with physicians, hospital staff and administration.–Developed matrix purchasing plans with products from five other Stryker divisions.

Responsible for navigation sales, training, and support in seven-state Southwest region.

Designed, developed, and launched several products including surgical powertools and bioabsorbable implants. Led multidiscipline development teams from concept through launch.–Project experience includes: bioabsorbable implants, single-use surgical products, and autoclavable capital equipment. Products totaled $26 million in annual domestic sales. –Led ENT Microdebrider System project, within $1.8M capital budget. Coordinated 11 team members and mfg efforts at two Michigan sites and one Puerto Rican site through project transfer. –Led Bioabsorbable CMF Plating System project, within $760k budget. Delivered system from concept to market in eleven months. Coordinated design and mfg teams in Michigan, New Jersey, and Germany. –Responsible for user research, concepting, IP assessment, design & development, test management, cost analysis, supplier management, RA/QA and marketing support.

–Led development of a bioabsorbable plating system for pediatric CMF surgery. Designed and released 23 discrete implantable products. –Worked with molding suppliers to develop and validate manufacturing processes and handling/shelf-life requirements for bioabsorbable terpolymer. –Developed testing protocols for implants which passed ISO & FDA audits with no notices.–Designed drivetrain, attachments, and attachment mechanisms for modular cordless rotary driver used in joint replacements (5 distinct products). Flagship product line, 81% US marketshare. –Patents include keyless chuck (US 6,139,228), 2:1 reducer attachment (US 5,993,454), bone-screw with axial coupler, and heat-contouring pen for resorbable plates (US 6,592,578).
