Delivered effective solutions during project execution after swiftly identifying design clashes between Aker Kvaerner Xmas Tree Handling System and existing derrick structure; Aker Kvaerner BOP handling system and existing riser tensioner system ensuring no impact to planned rig release date.

Coordinated office-based support for purchase of, and engineering support for Shell owned and operated drilling rig. Contributed to Shell, OEM, and Third Party upgrades, including installation of equipment for a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Delivered engineering support to commissioning team for Shell Mars 'B' Drilling Equipment Set (DES). Key Achievements: Participated in detailing purchase specifications for drilling rig, applicable modifications/upgrades, commissioning, and deployment of land-based NOV Rapid Rig to Shell Appalachian business unit, ensuring rig met Shell technical, QHSE and area requirements. Initiated detailing parameters for, vendor choice, design overview and rig modification scope covering rig skidding system for use on multi-well sites.

Houston, Texas Area

Executed wide-ranging project management activities associated with land rigs including new builds, rig upgrades, and repairs. Delivered technical support to staff members regarding drilling equipment. Established and sustained health working relationships with clients providing daily support in engineering functions. Conducted technical assessments and analysis of projects and implemented required solutions where applicable. Key Achievements: Supervised fabrication, construction and commissioing of six new builds including two heli-rigs destined for South America. Provided project oversight to four complete rig refurbishments for major drilling contractors.

Luanda, Angola

Managed rig modification upgrade in South Texas and coordinated rig move to Angola (MODU operating as MOPU). Coordinated with operators to situate rig on location and provided operational line management thereafter ensuring compliance to local regulations and HSE policies. Key Achievements: Successfully completed the refit of rig in South Texas satisfying vessel class and owner requirements.  Coordinated the receipt of rig into Angolan waters, followed by planning and execution of rig tow to final location and jack up. Effectively managed the in-country support for rig operations including crew management, HSE compliance, rig maintenance, technical support, and financial responsibility.
