PAUL - LUKE - MURPHYDESIGN / EVENTS / UNDERGRADUATE ARCHITECTPaul Murphy is a young emerging designer based in Tasmania. Originally from Melbourne, Paul applies his obsession with simple, clean and clever design to all that he does. He likes Japanese design, Frank Lloyd-Wright, making homebrew, listening to disco and house, spending his holidays on study trips (architecture, galleries and nightclubs) and working for festivals.His experience and studies are in Architecture but in the last 12 months he has worked closely with art direction, stage and set design and curating and collaborative work in galleries.With an incredibly broad skill set, Paul encourages innovative design and challenging conventional spaces through his work in events. Having worked for festivals (The Falls Festival, Junction Arts Festival and Party in the Paddock) and events (Our House and his own company), Paul applies his obsession with bar and nightlife culture to his skills in design creating an immersive and exciting experience for those involved. He has travelled widely, lived in Belgium and worked closely with artists and designers from around the world.
