My expertise and passion is consulting for family offices and families of significant wealth. My unique background in tax law, accounting, wealth management, and a wide range of business expertise, enables me to identify opportunities for family offices and client families to create smarter plans for themselves, their businesses, and future generations.Prior to transitioning to a consulting role for personal reasons, I founded Argos Family Office (formerly Argos Partners) with three client families in 2007. The vision for the firm was to assemble a team of talented tax, financial, business, real estate, insurance, philanthropy, wealth management and estate planning experts who - day in and day out - would collaborate closely on the needs of a select few ultra-affluent families.Concurrent with the founding of Argos Family Office, I also started Vogel Law Office, with my wife and business partner, Lynn Whaley Vogel, to provide legal advice to the same type of client families. I am licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois.At age 31, I left a Big Four public accounting firm when I was offered the opportunity to start Enterprise Trust, a division of Enterprise Bank & Trust, where I served as CEO from 1998- 2007.I earned my LLM in Tax Law from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, and my JD from the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law. I also attended the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri, where I received my MAcc, Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation, and my BSAcc in Accountancy.
