My second assignment was to managing the FRE 1.5 Program or Future Retail Environment Program, designing, building, testing, and then a national rollout of the next generation of Telstra’s retail stores. A capital program of significant value (~130M) I chaired the program steering committee, that contained the Executive Director of Telstra Country Wide, Director of Retail and two general managers and implemented governance process and controls to manage the program and risk.My first assignment was to remediate the stalled Entertainment @ Home Program, a retail business change program to reposition Telstra’s brand association from a telecommunication services provider to a Technology Company.I turned the program around in one month, he renegotiated terms with vendors and obtained and accelerated the delivery schedule and a reduction in cost. As the chair of the program steering committee, I was exposed to the Director of Retail and his general managers, by realigning the program's scope to the business case and benefits realization targets I was able to achieve this result.
