Today, I’m humbled, fortunate, and thrilled to work for TricorBraun, the leading packaging company in the U.S., as Director of Continuous Improvement. My talented team and I are responsible for ultimately exceeding customer expectations on every interaction our employees have with customers. My team’s mission is to empower our employees with tools, process and system improvements, and lean management techniques to help create customer memories that make TricorBraun their first and only choice for purchasing packaging and other value-added services. ***********************Early on in my career I worked for a McKinsey-type company called Digital Disrupters. In the late 1990's, the Internet was transforming the business world, and upending traditional brick and mortar businesses. At Digital Disrupters, I was part of the team that would help create online business models. Although the company didn't last long, the concept unleashed my entrepreneurial spirit. My passion for innovation and continuous improvement found a great home while working at Berlin Packaging. When I started in 2001, Berlin was roughly $130M packaging supplier. When I left in 2016, Berlin had grown to over $1B in sales. I was part of many critical projects that catapulted Berlin into a juggernaut in the packaging distribution industry. My career at Berlin started in the IT department where I lead an ERP upgrade and over 100 projects that would help employees increase their productivity and improve decision making. A few years later, I landed in Operations, focusing on KPIs and Inventory Analysis. My project management skills would be put at use when I implemented ISO 9001 and an online university. My last tour at Berlin allowed me to take on new leadership experiences in Marketing and Strategy. Not only would I work with extraordinary talent in sales, but I also found myself integrating numerous acquisitions. Internally I was trusted with spreading our culture to our new employees. This trust in me helped successfully integrate 6 acquisitions totaling over $400 million in sales. After Berlin Packaging, I ran a steel processing manufacturing plant for 2.5 years. This allowed me P/L experience and the ability to run a business. In 2020, I helped with the general election at the DuPage County Election Division. This was very rewarding since I love helping out our democracy.
