As a Lead Nurse of Quality and Governance, I have experience in Quality Management systems, Document Control, Change Management, and Incident Management, and Health and Safety.I oversee the governance and frameworks within which clinical procedures are carried out, monitor the safety and efficacy of these procedures, and ensure the safe and effective use of the clinical equipment used for apheresis. I work with the lead nurses based in each unit to ensure regulatory accreditation and compliance are maintained. I have successfully enrolled one of our national units into the Joint Accreditation Committee ISCT-Europe & EBMT (JACIE) framework, re-accredited our other Stem Cell collection sites, and overseen the successful inspection by the Human Tissue Authority.
