I am a non-linear thinker who enjoys nothing more than to explore disparate disciplines.I see both the big picture and the detail enabling me to design solutions, often overlooked, by broadening my horizons to seek solutions where others see problems. I maintain context and truth through my experience working in partnership and by collaborating with those who share my passion for exploration. My active inclusion of DE&I aligned to my core values of inclusivity, honesty and respect ensure any change impacts everyone and our environments positively. My goal has always been to empower others so whilst changing the way we maintained the Master Plan and to drive efficiencies I trained 50 Branch Partners in CAD to empower them so they could CAD plans for themselves. This soon evolved into a coordinated centralised planning process and the introduction of 360 phototours of all our shops, maintained by Branch Partners. While I was looking at ways to extract more from CAD and seeking better ways to maintain CAD Data more efficiently I discovered BIM and began to look into Digital Construction more closely leading me to question the agility capability of existing proprietary CAD systems and software. My answer, which was that we have a lot of squarish pegs fitting into a lot of roundish holes, led me to the innovations and develop of the Partnerships own Object Based, Data Centric, CAD Planning Digital Cloud Framework and software, Retail Planner 2.In my current role as Property Systems Manager, as well as taking the development of RP2 forwards, I am responsible for John Lewis Partnerships Digital Estate Strategy and Property IT Systems used to manage, maintain, develop our complex Physical Estate, which in line with our strategy has constantly evolving systems to support it.We are a complex business which on one hand makes implementing ISO’s like 19650 a challenge, on the other hand gave me a great opportunity to, in turn, challenge ISO’s such as 19650 and other standards or WoW.Outside the Partnership I was an active member of CDBB sitting on a number of panels including the BCG (Building Clients Group) and representing the BCG at the ICG (Infrastructure Clients Group). As someone with AuDHD I will always use the difficulties a Neurotypical world brings to a Neurodivergent person like myself to challenge what others consider to be “the right way to do things” whilst drawing on the many skills ADHD brings such as Gestalt Cognitive Processing, Innovative thinking and a natural aptitude for out of the box thinking by often not even being in the box
