I joined the Bristol Office of Hoare Lea in 1994 having gained considerable experience in the design, co-ordination and project management of a wide range of building services electrical engineering systems on major healthcare, commercial and industrial sector projects since graduating from the University of Bath in 1984.As a key member of the Hoare Lea - Healthcare Group, my professional interests, experience and expertise included responsibility for the design and construction monitoring of complex 11kV power generation schemes, electrical distribution and industrial systems, industrial process control and measurement systems, together with the detailed co-ordination of building services design projects generally.Since 2008 I have been a member of the Hoare Lea - Expert Witness Group and acted as an expert in numerous construction disputes. I am able to draw on a wealth of personal experience working within the field of electrical engineering when analysing often complex issues, which enables me to present clear and balanced opinions that have been rigorously considered.A champion of professional development and staff training, I am actively engaged in providing feedback to the Practice from the ‘lessons learned’ as a result of my experience in construction disputes.
