Associate & Project Manager - Electrical Designer
For the past 40 years I worked at SMP, a single-discipline engineering firm with a reputation for providing innovation, excellence & expertise in electrical consulting.I am known for:1 - My breadth of expertise gained over 40 years in the electrical consulting services industry.2 - My ability to provide end-to-end electrical consulting services from preparing bid proposals / responding to RFPs to concept design to working drawings, creating electrical specifications and construction administration through to project completion.3 - Maintaining effective client relationships and securing new clients and work. Clients are consistently impressed with my timely decision making based on my extensive experience.4 - Working as a leader, coach and mentor. I have been accountable for a team of 3 and project teams up to 8 people. I have coached team members including electrical engineers, electrical designers and design drafters, and have mentored engineers on managing projects both in the design and construction phases.5 - Conducting peer reviews for clients (reviewing competitor’s work). Clients are consistently impressed with the results and my recommendations on value engineering.
