My name is Paul Dowling – a tech OG with 15 years experience of the London artificial intelligence and entrepreneurial tech scene, a huge fan of collaborative ecosystems and open-source, I love exploring and addressing future societal opportunities and challenges with others. At a time when humanity faces challenges from the environment and accelerating technology change, I am constantly questioning the status quo with unconventional thinking in both technology and arts based projects. My early career was as Director of part of The Lego group, where I set up the UK Electronics Division of Modulex. I then went on to work in the strategic deals team for Cap Gemini, as part of a JV between the company and Vodafone. I am currently building KXSB (KXSB.org), an innovative Not-for-Profit, accelerator platform for open source artificial intelligence ventures. I am also CEO and co-founder of Mindstream AI, I providing strategic consulting, proof-of-concepts, and acceleration programs for medium and large organisations that want to solve big data challenges and leverage the power of cutting-edge AI technologies. In addition to leading two forward-thinking technology companies, I am also a keynote speaker, a community builder, and an AI trainer for diverse groups. I enjoy sharing my insights and expertise at international conferences and events, such as Mobile World Congress and Pioneers Festival, where I advocate for tech-driven solutions that drive real-world change. I am also actively involved in fostering innovation and growth in the AI and tech ecosystems, partnering with startups, investors, and corporates to create synergies and opportunities. Furthermore, I am committed to empowering the next generation of innovators with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of AI and tech, delivering AI training initiatives for underrepresented and marginalised groups.
