I am a Ph.D.-level researcher with two decades of experience in the think tank world. While I have significant experience in research, teaching, and editing, my primary area of expertise is qualitative research pertaining to grant seeking and grant writing. I have spent two years working in donor relations and grant development for a large national university, two years serving on the fundraising committee of an international charity organization, and five years editing federal funding proposals for a DC-area think tank. I have also provided volunteer and paid grant-writing services (with wins) for a variety of NGOs, schools, and other nonprofits. For the past eleven years, I have worked as a grants researcher at Hanover Research, a global research firm. At Hanover, I manage a team of junior researchers and provide grant-writing support, data analysis, literature reviews, federal funding forecasting, RFP analysis, grant prospecting, comprehensive best practices research, and other consulting and research services for over 100 universities/colleges, hospitals, and school districts.
