At iRefi (now mortgagehq) I was responsible for the website and general marketing activities. I went on to train as a mortgage advisor and worked with clients to review their lending and provide advice on how to manage their finances.

I worked as “Marketing Gorilla” at Mighty Ape, New Zealand's leading online store. In this role I was involved in numerous aspects of online marketing: social media, SEO, affiliate marketing, paid search, email and content marketing. While at Mighty Ape I had my first experience with Asana for project management. I took the lead on developing Asana's use at the company and transitioning our 50+ office staff over to the new system.Having developed skills in project management, I went on to become the project manager on a number of key projects including organising trade shows, creating product catalogues, web optimisation and various marketing campaigns.

In this position I helped promote Mighty Ape on YouTube. Responsibilities included all aspects of video marketing; planning, directing, shooting, acting, editing and analysis.
