• 2009: IRES - Idruna Remote Editing System – A client/server system that used sophisticated network programming techniques to allow photo editors to view and edit photos from remote photographers as quickly as the photos were taken. • 2008: WiPics Mobile – A photo transmission and barcode data association system designed for event photography companies to sell their photos at tourist attractions and special events. • 2002: Pocket Phojo – A $499 Windows Mobile application that allowed photojournalists and news agencies to transmit press-ready photos from breaking news events using only their phone. By 2008, version 6 was able to connect a DSLR directly to a phone via WiFi or USB, for real-time transmission. • 2002: Photogenics HDR for Windows and Linux – The first ever High Dynamic Range paint and image manipulation package supported creating and editing floating point images, 4 years before Photoshop. • 2001: Pocket Photogenics – The most powerful paint package for Windows Mobile, and Pocket PC Magazine’s Best Software Award Winner or Nominee for 7 years running. • 2001: Photogenics for Linux and Windows – Noteworthy as being the first commercial paint package for Linux. • 1994: Photogenics – A multi award-winning paint and image manipulation package. It included unique features such as paint layers, which gave the ability to airbrush on all of the filters, and to erase mistakes simply by rubbing out with the right mouse button. The “experiment mode” allowed artists to try new effects without affecting the image, such as changing the filter already applied to the image, or adjusting a filter’s parameters and seeing the results update in real time. A version of Photogenics was included with every Amiga computer sold from 1995 onwards to showcase the platform.
