I like to code. I like the challenge of thinking about a project from scratch, the project structure, how the system will interact with other systems, how scalable and available it has to be. What technologies to use, and what technologies I will have to learn to build the project. I study the tools I don't know before use, and I have fun during this process. I'm not a developer of a specific language, and if I need to learn a new language or tool, it will be exciting. Do I get bored with maintaining the production system? Yes, I do, but I know how important it is to maintain a production system. If I can improve it, make it faster, make its code cleaner, and allow me to purpose features improvements, so it is all I need to be motivated.
