The company follows a tech partner approach to client relationships and also builds its own startups. Its expertise ranges from building progressive, scalable web apps and sophisticated WiFi networks to engineering complex blockchain solutions, and conducting design sprints to prototype new tech solutions. IO is comprised of web developers, DevOps engineers, designers, entrepreneurs, finance and communications experts who work together to build tech products and companies.

I acted as business partner to the Exco of the business; and highlight potential business improvements, cost reduction and optimisation opportunities. As CFO I directed all aspects of financial management of On the Dot, a logistics business dedicated to the media sector. Over the last 4 years, I transformed my team from scorekeeper to business partner - whilst demonstrating 20% cost reduction and reducing audited internal control weaknesses by 80%. I have focused especially on leadership for my direct reports as well as continued measurement and management of leading indicators.I was also the project sponsor for the business unit finance team during the blueprint and realisation phase of the SAP.

Business process outsourcing business based in South Africa.Here I gained experience in mentoring financial managers / directors in respect of business environment and served on the boards of 5 subsidiaries where I provided oversight into their performance measurement and strategic growth aspirations. I served on board sub-committees to oversee risk management, accounting and tax compliance related matters; I facilitated implementation of a Black Empowerment share issue transaction and arranged bridging finance whilst the transaction was closing, performed due diligences for a few corporate finance transactions, and collaborated with the professional advisors to restructure and list the group on the Alternative Exchange of JSE Ltd during September 2006.

I managed an operations team of the Call Centre business unit, leading business development and consulting activity and bearing full accountability for profit targets and operational KPIs for that unit. I negotiated new customer contracts and also implemented a new compliance process within the business.

I was a project team member which implemented product and profitability analysis tools across various businesses in the telecommunications sector.
