Developed a parallel workflow for high-throughput (>1000 samples/day) quantitative analysis of human insulin-like growth factor 1 using mass spectrometric immunoassay technology. Led a team in the Center for Molecular Biomarkers to successfully generate clinical data and to discover novel variants observed in large sample sets >1000 (e.g. PTMs and mutations of IGF-1). Serve as a key collaborator for a Next-Generation Clinical Mass Spectrometry Platform.

Reported directly to the CEO and served as the key liaison with Thermo Fisher Scientific in driving development and commercialization of biomarker validation studies for Insulin and Parathyroid Hormone and variant mass spectrometric immunoassays.

Responsibilities included design, execution, and analysis of targeted biomarker based projects related to diabetes using MALDI-TOF and proteomics technologies (e.g. Mass Spectrometric Immunoassay). Research led to insights into the structural characterization of blood-borne insulin and c-peptide with implications for pharmaceutical drug monitoring.
