Paul began his law enforcement career in 1988 with the Glendora Police Department in Glendora, CA where he rose to the rank of Detective. As a Detective, he excelled in handling complex criminal investigations with an emphasis on fraud, financial crimes, and cybercrime. In 2008, he joined the Riverside County District Attorney’s (DA) Office as a Senior District Attorney Investigator, extending his skills in digital forensics and intellectual property theft. In addition to these credentials, Paul also brings extensive experience in tactical operations. He attended SWAT school and served as an Emergency Response Team Member and as a member of the DA’s Office Dignitary Protection Unit. In 2017, he was promoted to Supervising and in 2020, Paul was promoted to Bureau Commander, managing division operations within the Bureau of Investigation. This included leading the Bureau’s Emergency Response Team and the task forces investigating Gangs, Narcotics, and Child Exploitation. Throughout his career, Paul has delivered a culture of excellence and outstanding results. In 2021, Paul launched the Transition Drill Podcast. He interviews former first responders and military veterans, and his commitment to addressing the importance of career transition preparation, especially given the mental/physical challenges these professionals face.
