CurrentMr. Papadopoulos’ practice primarily encompasses corporate and tax law.With over 25 years of experience as an attorney, Mr. Papadopoulos handles matters such as forming businesses, buying and selling businesses, contracts and general business law.Mr. Papadopoulos handles West Virginia taxation matters, including property tax appeals, assessments and claims for refund both in court and at the administrative level. In such matters, Mr. Papadopoulos appears before the West Virginia Office of Tax Appeals, Circuit Courts and the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia.In addition, Mr. Papadopoulos has experience with non-profit and tax-exempt organizations.Mr. Papadopoulos currently serves as Chair of the West Virginia State Bar Committee on State and Federal Taxation.Mr. Papadopoulos also serves as a steering committee member for West Virginia Working Together, a partnership of tax lawyers and representatives from the Internal Revenue Service and West Virginia State Tax Department. West Virginia Working Together intends to enhance the level of communication and the level of trust between government and tax practitioners.Mr. Papadopoulos has served the West Virginia Humanities Council as its President and a member of the board of directors. He was a member of Leadership West Virginia, Class of 2010.
