    As Chief Architect of BEA Systems and a member of the Office of CTO, my responsibilities grew to encompass the the overall technical vision and architecture for the entire BEA product portfolio, provider overall architectural leadership and technical governance. As a key member of the team responsible for identifying future BEA product offerings, I was involved in the emergence of the concept of a Service Network, a fabric-based architecture for service deployment that provided scaling and resiliency beyond what could be provided by Enterprise Service Bus solutions, and the creation of the microService architecture, a service-base architectural approach for building application and service infrastructure targeted at reducing cost of duplication and allowing greater flexibility in the creation of new product offerings at a lower cost and time to market. The microService architecture was adopted as the basis for building all new BEA product offerings and transforming all existing products.One of my responsibilities was to lead the Corporate Architecture Group (CAG) which spans product, brand, and divisional boundaries.
