The Agoria-Sirris Community Managers show the way to the right experts within Agoria or Sirris and connect you with relevant partners and stakeholders in the ecosystems. They know what is going on in the companies, but also in the ecosystem and constantly see collaboration opportunities. Many of the current industry challenges can only be addressed adequately through the combination of expertise in different disciplines on the economic, social, and technological front. Together, Agoria and Sirris are the only ones in the market with that full range of expertise:Agoria, the country's largest sector federation with over 2,000 member companies, ensures that the framework within which our companies can operate is as favourable as possible. Its 200 experts represent the interests of the technology sector at all political consultation and decision-making levels. It makes its 150 engineers and technology experts and its high-tech test and demo infrastructure available to help technology companies make concrete progress in manufacturing, product development and the digital and green transition. The Agoria-Sirris industrial community was developed to address these specific challenges in an integrated manner. More specifically, it is an intensified form of cooperation, in which both partners combine complementary expertise to create a total range of actions and services that can tackle the challenge in question adequately and from all relevant angles of incidence.
  • Agoria
    Senior Expert Advanced Manufacturing
    Agoria Apr 2014 - Oct 2022
Agoria, Belgium's Technology Federation, together with Sirris in 2012 created the Made Different methodology. This methodology builds on 7 transformation areas and enables manufacturing companies to transform into Factories of the Future. To date, more than 40 factories have been awarded the Factory of the Future Award and another 750 companies are in the process of transforming. Moreover, the European Commission in 2018 decided to test the Belgian approach in seven other countries across Europe. In June 2021, we've successfully finalised this exciting new challenge. Right now, I'm setting up a Member Coach&Care program as part of the strategic alliance between Agoria and Sirris.
  • Peeters De Raamproducent
    Managing Director
Peeters De Raamproducent Nov 2012 - Mar 2014
    Dessel
Transforming "Plastiekbouw Peeters" (a family-owned local windowmaker employing 55 people) towards a private-equity owned organization employing 60+ professional employees.
  • Signify
    Program Director
    Signify Jul 2010 - Oct 2012
In line with a declining activity of the production of HID lamps at the Signify (formerly Philips) site in Turnhout (Belgium), I've started to lay down the foundations for the creation of an Open Manufacturing Campus. In the meantime, more than 20 companies have joined the campus.
  • Signify
    Product Line Manager
    Signify Jul 2008 - Jun 2010
    Turnhout - Belgium
For about 2 years I've been leading the Wire making department (10M Euro Turnover, 180 people, 2 production locations, global customer base). Being bottom line responsible I've been driving a strategy of expanding the business in high end applications and gradually building down activities which were not cost-competitive.
  • Signify
    Program Manager
    Signify Mar 2005 - Jul 2008
    Turnhout - Belgium
As an integral project manager I started to manage within my organization highly complex, international projects. Examples include adding Chinese Buy for Resale lamps to the portfolio as well as integrating a recently acquired Cinema Lamp company, with its base in California. Especially the complexity and the people side of these projects have kept me going with a high energy level and have brought these projects to success.
  • Signify
    Product Manager
    Signify Sep 2001 - Mar 2005
    Turnhout - Belgium
For almost 4 years I've had the pleasure to work in the team of Roger van den Plas, a very senior Product Manager. He thought me everything there is to know about being the link between the customer and the organisation in terms of market and customer insights, application roadmapping, product and technology roadmapping.
  • Philips
    Business Intelligence Manager
    Philips Sep 1996 - Aug 2001
    Eindhoven - Holland
Within the Corporate Strategy Department, based in Eindhoven (Holland), I was responsible for Global Business Intelligence. I had two people reporting directly to me and another 4 regional intelligence specialists reporting functionally to me. The last year of my assignment in Eindhoven I was part of an international team setting up a joint venture between Philips and LG (Korea).
  • Philips
    Market Intelligence Manager
    Philips Sep 1995 - Aug 1996
    Eindhoven - Holland
Having worked for 3 years in Lommel (Belgium), I was asked to move to Philips' headquarters in Eindhoven to become the Market Intelligence Manager. This job offered me the opportunity to be more internationally oriented and to really become an Intelligence specialist...
  • Philips
    Marketing Trainee
    Philips Sep 1992 - Aug 1995
    Lommel - Belgium
Leaving University in 1991 and fulfilling my army duty for one year, I could start working at Philips. My first position was to set-up the Marketing role in Philips' Plastic and Metalware factory in Lommel. Biggest challenge for me was to 'take away' the marketing related activities from the Sales people and to integrate them into one function. It has been a very down to earth and practical first business experience which I enjoyed very much.
