VSO is the world’s leading international development organisation that uses volunteers to fight poverty and reduce equality. I am the focal point for all VSO's engagement with the private sector leading our account management and business development teams with a portfolio of corporate partnerships worth 2.5 Million annually in addition to our DFID Knowledge Exchange contract to promote corporate volunteering worth 3 million over 5 years. Achievements:Oversaw the increase in portfolio from 2 million in 2015/16 to 2.5 million in 2016/17.Personally brought in new partnerships worth 300K per annum.Co-designed and brought to market VSO’s flagship DFID funded Knowledge Exchange platform which aims to send 500 volunteers a year from a range of corporate to placements within development programmers by 2020.Helped to secured VSO as the charity partner for GREAT and British Council’s Shakespeare Lives programme.

Responsible for the management of IBM partnership to the value of 325K per annum including the design and delivery of IBM’s Corporate Service Corps programme.Management of full project lifecycle of IBM CSC from tender to delivery to M&E.Relationship management of key IBM stakeholders to maximize opportunities for partnership growth.AchievementsIncreased revenue in second year from 275K to 325K.Delivered five IBM cycles to specification and on budget with high levels of client satisfaction.Negotiated successfully for IBM to become a founding member of VSO’s Knowledge Exchange platform.

Working for this international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, I was responsible for designing, implementing and communicating systems and tools to improve business processes for the global English for Education systems operation with targets of 50 million income in 2014/15.Main duties:Internal and external communications lead including SharePoint management, the production of case studies and marketing collateral in print and digital.Developing contract approval systems, including pipeline and costing tools.The development of systems to capture track record, lessons learnt and knowledge management.HR needs analysis and skills gap analysis against business strategy Managing the relationship between UK Universities and the British Council in terms of research into ELT.Partnerships manager: Additionally, responsible for British Council partnership accounts with extractive (Oil, Gas and Mining) companies globally and across British Council’s entire portfolio in Education. Main dutiesAccount management for existing global partnerships.Coordination of local account managers and country directors.Advising British Council colleagues globally on working with the extractive industry Representing the British Council in extractive/CSR related conferences in order to position and broker new partnerships and with UKTI and BIS for Education for Extractives sub-committee.AchievementsDeveloped, extended and expanded grant partnerships in the Maghreb region from one year at £50,000 per annum to a two year agreement with a total value of £460,000.Produced brochures on British Council’s English for Education System offer now used in 110 countries.Successfully designed and implemented a theory of change model for improving ability to pursue larger tenders through a multi-faceted intervention of improvements to business practices now used globally.

Responsible for the delivery of the English for the Future project in Algeria with a DFID budget of 280K per annum. Main duties:Line management of three people and responsible for all aspects of their work and development.Working with the Ministry of Education, identifying improvements in the school system in regards to the English curriculum and designing, delivering and assessing the impact of training programmes for teachers, teacher trainers, school inspectors and curriculum and assessment developers. Managed a programme which assists private sector English schools to develop quality services with the ultimate goal of creating a high quality ELT industry in Algeria. Responsible for developing content partnerships with national print, radio and television companies and managing online marketing of British Council products and services through web and social media platforms.AchievementsDeveloped and delivered bespoke programmes for the Ministry of Education including teacher, trainer and inspector training programmes with a participant approval rating consistently over 90%Successfully set up the Algerian Quality Association of Language schools (AQUALS).Generated corporate sponsorship of 80 thousand pounds in my first year and 175 thousand pounds in my second to co-finance British Council and Ministry of Education projects.Received an award of excellence from the British Ambassador to Algeria for my work in English and Education.

Responsible for the development of a regional ‘Model schools’ programme by supporting head teachers and management teams through leadership and management training and delivering in service teacher training for Rwandan primary school teachers. I also managed capacity building programmes within a local government Education department.AchievementsSelected by VSO to join a UNICEF team tasked with designing and delivering training courses for national teacher trainers in in the Rwandan and Kenyan Institute of Education focussing on child centred methodologies.Created pedagogical resource centres in four schools for learning and training to take place.

The International House World Organisation is one of the largest and oldest groups of language schools in the world with over 150 affiliated private schools in 52 countries. In this role, I managed a satellite school of six classrooms with five full time and five part time teachers in addition to a network of micro centres across Madrid. Main duties:Coordinated 8 senior teachers in eight private secondary schools supervising 30+ teachers in the delivery of classes to school children. Responsible for ensuring quality assurance through observation and feedback of teachers; teacher development through regular training sessions; coaching/mentoring of inexperienced staff; timetabling, scheduling and standby management; dealing with customers, parents etc.AchievementsSuccessful stewardship of micro centre programme led to an expansion of the programme.Received ‘Leader in professional development’ certificate form International House for delivering teacher training workshops for teachers in all schools.Assistant Director of Studies: International House, Argentina and Czech Republic 2007 to 2009Promoted to ADOS in December 2007.
