• Presented various executive level reports to Senior Leadership of Hospital including CEO, COO and CFO. • Assisted CFO in contract negotiation with commercial insurances providers which resulted in a 5% increase in Net Revenue.• Participated as a member of a Revenue Cycle team for 5 years and Revenue Cycle Director for 1 year. • Designed and maintained a full costing Decision Support System using a home grown SQL database which contained financial, payroll, statistical and census data. The data collection and reporting was automated resulting in a turnaround of hours instead of days. The system has been independently valued at over $500,000 and does not require monthly/yearly maintenance fees to a software manufacturer. • Compiled Yearly and Monthly Budgets for 25 managers and 100 cost centers.• Created Yearly, Quarterly and Monthly financial reporting of Actuals, Fixed and Flex Budgets through the Decision Support System.• Developed and designed a Contractual modeling system using Monarch, Access and Excel to track by payor, patient type, patient and aging bucket, which vastly improved the accuracy of the previous system. • Developed an automated daily dashboard report using SQL and Excel reporting on Census, Surgeries, Out Patient Volumes, ER Visits, ALOS, Case Mix, FTE’s & Revenue. • Prepared work papers for Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting company. Was the primary contact with FI for Wage Index, Occupational Mix, DSH, and HCAP. • Ensured compliance with the audit standards of PriceWaterhouseCoopers.• Served as a Co-Chair and administered the operations and financial affairs of the Deaconess Foundation Golf Outing which rose over $100,000 in net income for the Foundation.
