I am responsible for the financial, operational and strategic development of the Commercial Parking and Transport business for Land Securities, the UK’s largest commercial property company. Land Securities is a FTSE 100 company with a multi-billion pound portfolio and owns and operates over 70 car parks and marinas throughout the UK. Our multi award winning Parking and Transport business has an annual turnover in excess of £30m.I oversee a talented team of staff and work in partnership with companies such as APCOA, NCP and Euro Car Parks. We have over 200 staff dedicated to the business and we operate in some of the busiest retail and leisure locations in the country.I oversee the business in its entirety and I am responsible for the annual budgeting, re-forecasting and reviews. I also work alongside the development and disposal teams to provide detailed statistical and financial forecasting, yield modeling, design reference and operational guidance.I develop our strategic guidance documentation and provide advice on current and future trends in the industry such as EV’s and parking technology.I also regularly participate and speak at parking events and conferences such as Parking and Property and Parkex.

The Blackout Party was a unique 1940’s themed event which I ran on an annual basis in multiple locations and venues. Each event was extremely popular, drawing in thousands of visitors and allowing me to use my extensive knowledge of Leisure and Hospitality to ensure everyone had a great time. Time and cost meant that the party was eventually stopped, but I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of it just yet!

I started a small IT repair and leasing company from my home office and over 2 years achieved turnover in excess of £250,000. This was a fascinating experience for me and an exceptionally useful learning curve in business processes.

During my time at Wessex Leisure I held a number of roles including Food and Beverage Manager, General Manager and finally Area Manager.I was responsible for a number of centres based on the south coast comprising of sizes ranging from 30,000 to 60,000 sqft and business incorporating leisure, licensed bars, catering and commercialised income. My duties included:• Full profit and loss responsibility for turnover business in excess of £4m per site.• Responsible for sales, marketing and PR, operations, licensed retail, catering and commercialised activity• Full staff management responsibility for a team of over 50 staff in each site with catering, maintenance, marketing and customer services• Growth of the business especially during off peak periods, targeting special groups, students and the disadvantaged• Coin Op and AWP income
