--Use hand tools and test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, DVM multi-meters, vibration recorders, interferometers, and Gaussmeters to troubleshoot problems and diagnose EMF issues.--Read, analyze, interpret, and follow signal flow on blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.--Provide remote or on-site technical direction and diagnostic assistance to Field Engineers and customers in resolving complex systems failure (primary for worldwide travel).--Mine data from and publish system performance reports focusing on potential product improvements, documentation improvements (troubleshooting–SDB) and future customer needs.--Review ECO/CQR for the assigned system, to ensure (prepare) adequate documentation for in-house and field implementation when applicable.--Ensure documentation is adequate and distributed prior to the sale of new systems. Review, develop, and update service documentation (installation procedures, PM procedures, consumable lists, etc.) for the assigned system.--Assist the Support Manager in the development of service business processes.--Develop and execute training classes for Field Engineers and customers.--Install components or systems at customer sites worldwide.--Manage system refurbishments, develop a timeline for the competition of the works to be performed, and take all necessary actions to complete the project on time. Identify potential training or documentation opportunities while the system is undergoing the refurbishment.--Take reasonable initiative to reduce system down time and ensure customer satisfaction.--Represent Tech Support in collaboration with other departments on system upgrades and improvements, custom quote requests, and special projects.
