When I was growing up (about ages 12 to 25), my dad had me helping him with odd jobs around the family business (Platinum Travel). I started with just cleaning the office but over the years I ended up helping him with his computer network, built his websites (3 versions) and a variety of other odd jobs. Over this time, I went to university (Business degree from UofMB) and worked in a number of companies; some small and some large multi-national. Over the years, I noticed that the business leaders I worked with, for the most part, were experts at what they did. They knew their product / service inside out and provided authentic value to those that entered their doors. They also tried to get their employees to follow what they believed the business stood for and how it should work; what I’ve come to learn is their “brand”.It was all my experiences that helped me appreciate how businesses operate. What I saw was people who cared about their livelihood, their craft if you will. It didn’t matter if the company was small or large. Their sincere interest in doing a good job (their passion) was palpable. What I also often noticed was a leader who was looking to solve a challenging marketing problem and sought sage advice / solutions from trusted experts, found it very hard to find someone that was good at marketing and was someone they could trust (there are no certifications / standards in the marketing profession). Thus the 6Ps of marketing and our name.My mission has taken me to here and my goal continues to be to build a business that employs experts (planning, branding, SEO, web, design, writing, PPC, etc) that help these busy business leaders; and sets a standard for trust and sound advice when it comes to helping to move their business forward.
