Dogs should be powered by fat and protein - not carbs. Inspired by the years of work done on optimal dog nutrition by the non-profit research organization KetoPet, we decided to make a low carb, ketogenic dog food that meets their exacting standards. Why Keto Dog Food?In humans, low carbohydrate diets have been shown to lower blood glucose and reduce inflammation. Many pet parents eat lower carb diets themselves, yet feed their canine companions regular dog food that is very high in carbohydrates. Now there’s another option: Visionary Pet Foods. We make low carb, ketogenic dog food with only with human-grade ingredients.

Epigenix Foundation and KetoPet Sanctuary is the, newly formed' nonprofit arm of Quest Nutrition. At Epigenix we strive to ask important health questions irrespective of any economic drivers, answering those questions by developing bold therapies in order to return metabolism to a state where metabolic diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis and Alzheimer's, cannot survive. The core of our mission is a Ketogenic Diet - a diet that is high in fats with medium protein and low carb. In 1924 Nobel Laureate Dr. Otto Warburg observed that a cancer cell's metabolism is different than that of healthy cells. Unlike healthy cells, cancer cells rely mainly on glucose for their energy needs. A ketogenic diet places people and the dogs at our sanctuary in a state that limits cancer cells from getting access to glucose, effectively starving the cancer.Think of Quest as a technology company for food that changes lives through nutrition.

A Sampling of What I Do:Bridging the Business and Philanthropy Worlds to Drive Positive, Meaningful, & Measurable OutcomesSecuring a strong, stable financial condition with a diversified funding base through the development of high functioning revenue teams that are engaged, empowered and successful – teams that are supported by dynamic processes with performance tools and analytics that effectively measure an organizations social and financial return-on-investment - To manage effectively you must measure effectively.Building a Culture of Philanthropy to Secure and Sustain OrganizationsTo create social change a culture of philanthropy should be fostered within in an organization. This broader approach focuses on investment rather than just fundraising. Fundraising is just one action within a culture of philanthropy. Fully integrating investment in the mission by all stakeholders, from Board to Staff to Donors is a proven way to create financial growth and stability and social impact - Revenue engine misalignment is what organizations are most familiar with. An organization has a great mission and can produce impactful outcomes, but they cannot find a way to make the organization financially stable. Creating & Implementing Strategic Roadmaps that become the Driving Force of Mission DeliveryThe transformational roadmap analyzes where an organization is today – the ‘As-Is’ state and maps out how it will get to where it wants to be tomorrow – the ‘To-Be’ state or, strategic vision. While the strategic vision defines the direction the organization is heading the primary, ‘Driving Force’ (or, value proposition) serves as the foundation for delivering on that strategic vision.
