I'm a storyteller and experienced journalist focused on showing the human side of the happenings in the energy industry. I conduct B2B journalism, pen premium profiles, and keep a pulse on daily news while managing content as editor of Renewable Energy World. I have also worked as content director of GridTECH Connect Forum, a regionally-focused thought leadership event that assembles utilities, grid operators, project developers, policymakers, and regulators to advance grid interconnection topics. Before all that, I spent more than fifteen years as a broadcast journalist, most recently working as NewsNation's first national correspondent and as an anchor at NBC News on "The Report" and "Early Today."I previously produced, wrote, and hosted sports programs for the Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I attended the 2016 and 2018 Olympic Games as a foreign correspondent and earned four Emmy Awards as a news anchor in Phoenix, Arizona. Before that, I was best known for going viral as “Paul Burgundy” during my memorable tenure as sports director at a TV station in Boise, Idaho. I started my on-air career at WBKB in Alpena, MI- one of the designated market areas in the United States- after four years in television production at WJRT in Flint.I am an avid sports fan and a lifelong gamer. I enjoy learning how things work, telling stories, hitting a parlay or two, and rubbing the belly of my cute golden doodle, Theo.
