My most prestigious customer/project is GCI located in Alaska with which I deployed 168 villages over a 3 year period in remote Alaska. This wireless data network is still in use today.Duties included the development of outdoor frequency hopping spread spectrum radios originally designed and built by Raytheon into an hardened outdoor Ethernet radio system. Development of hardware was done in house and built in Taiwan, and firmware and Windows server based monitoring, configuration and reporting server software was farmed out to Slovakian software house Softhill Technologies.Thousands of radios were built, FCC & CE certified, sold and shipped around the world. Networks were designed and deployed in such places as Africa, Europe, UK, Latin America and the continental U.S.
