Participated in projects for policy management, reporting, and intrusion tracing/mitigation. The resulting products are used by customers like Banks and the U. S. government to protect their high-value data. • Architected, designed, and developed a replacement to the Classic Reporter application using Spring Boot, Presto, ORC file format, HDFS, and Hive Metastore. With 4X improvement in performance, it addresses customer issues and provides two new reviews streams. • Crafted a small dashboard reporting application using Angular, NgRx, and AWS Lambdas / DynamoDB. The intention is to improve sales by making visible to customers how well Symantec protected their organization.

InContact produces highly generalized and configurable phone center software, IVR (Interactive Voice Response). The Admin team provides the product to configure and manage the IVR system, which is invaluable to clients for customers and services like 911. • Integrated an AngularJs front end with a C# webserver to replace the WebForms UI. The integration allowed the company to start combining their two products, which will reduce development costs and expand the feature set. • As the Technical Lead, I supported the call center administration application, which is written in C#, WebForms and uses the TFS workflow.

Incomm provides and services a large range of per-paid products. Responsibilities centered around adding new features to support the rapid increase in business purchased by Incomm. Integrating the newly acquired business improved profits. • Built a greenfield batch processing application that accepted jobs submitted by multiple clients, which allowed the client to not be directly responsible. Used Spring Boot, HttpClient, and iText. The batch process saved the company's support costs and increased the stability of the primary user interface. • Supported the Call Center Application by resolving bugs and adding features using AngularJs, Material UI Components and, Spring Boot. This created a better product that helped call center employees to resolve calls faster with higher customer satisfaction.

Overstock.com helps its customers to save money by offering affordable deals on products they want to buy. A large number of the products are provided by Partners whose products are consigned on the shopping site. The many Partners work with Overstock.com through the Partner Connect web application. • Lead the team that sourced orders to the appropriate partner for fulfillment. The team was responsible for 23 separate applications and processes over 1 billion dollars in sales a year. • Developed the web interface for the vendor product management application for use in the warehouse inventory logistics and fulfillment. The application was developed in Spring and connected to multiple microservices via an enterprise service bus that was implemented in Mule. • Developed and supported the partner interaction web portal that allowed partners to manage their business with Overstock. The application was written in Seam, used the Oracle database, and connected to multiple microservices.

JPMorgan is the investment banking side of the Chase retail bank. One benefit to investing with JPMorgan is the free access to Morgan Markets, which is a vast repository of financial information. Much of the information is produced by experts in the financial industry and then loaded into the system. • Implemented a dynamic portal where users could configure portlets and the content in the portlets, add/remove/move tabs, and email tabs to other users. The implementation was in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. • Developed an autocomplete feature that used Java, Lucene, and Javascript to find potential replacement terms. • Replaced FOREX streaming service with an in-house high-volume ORB queue that saved the company almost $2M a year.

The Equipment Engineering team manages very complex equipment, which executes complicated processes and produces large amounts of data while manufacturing semiconductor devices. • Developed software for operation, management, and monitoring of those machines. Used Java and an in-house framework that is very much like Struts (before Struts existed).

Repaired semiconductor test equipment. The test equipement simulated test enviroments for the integrated curcuits produced within the factory.
