Startup Digital Procurement ConsultancyMy role was to support the business to develop a niche in digital procurement consultancy.Key Achievements • Supported an emergency services organization in a critical single source negotiation, saving 18% in cash releasing benefits while enhancing the through-life support service levels• Developed a multi-billion-dollar category plan for acquiring hospital construction services and for acquiring capital consultants’ services• Reviewed the procurement capability of an Asian power utility and developed a road map for procurement transformation• Supported the procurement transformation of a mid-sized business by coaching the CPO and developing procurement frameworks for full time procurement staff and also ‘self-service’ model for part-time participants in the procurement process.• Developed a diagnostic tool to assess capability for variety of stakeholders involved in the procurement process in a Federal Government Department• Contributed to a capability development plan for a Federal Government Department• Developed a procurement strategy for the acquisition of a complex software solution for a University, involving stakeholder engagement and procurement leadership• Supported an ASX-listed blue chip develop an RFP and negotiation plan for a key utilityEach of these projects drew upon my ability to present complex ideas in ways that make them accessible and usable by business stakeholders.

• Drove sales through bid preparation, negotiation and delivery to accelerate growth with key proposals• Acted as Lead Reviewer for a State Government in Australia reviewing procurement maturity in Departments and Agencies across the State and developing road maps for procurement evolution• Supported New Zealand Transport Agency in research project to assess whether value for money was being achieved in building roads• Negotiated on behalf of telecommunication regulatory body to restructure IT costs with their provider resulting in lowering the cost base to 33% of original annual fees with relationship and service levels maintained• Developed capability frameworks for variety of organizations and designed programs to build capability • Developed new solutions in diagnostic tools in procurement and human resource management. Provided the intellectual capital for Australian peak body in HR to treble their revenue from training by using diagnostic solution to expose and target training needs. Also created separate solution for a similar body in a State in Canada.

I focused on some smaller-scale projects while seeking an appropriate opportunityKey Achievements • Selected without competition to work with MBIE at national level with NZ Government, EQC and EQR to author a $15bn category plan for the acquisition of trade services for rebuilding of domestic dwellings in Christchurch, New Zealand.• Worked with MBIE at national level in NZ to author a category plan for external legal services, including engaging with senior legal counsel and aligning them to a common panel• Drafted a Supplier Relationship Management Policy for a State Government in Australia• Facilitated legal counsel in key Departments and Agencies within a State Government to align to a reduced number of panels and co-ordinate their market engagements for external legal services• Developed a glossary of procurement terms which is still used under licence by the global peak body, CIPS
