Within five years (‘disguised’ as Paul Rodgers) I was the Morning Host on Baltimore’s Legendary Top 40 Radio Station, WCAO, for fifteen years the Number #1-rated station in the market. After several years on-the-air my desire to be a broadcast owner led to a two year stint in media sales and sales management, after which I and a partner bought an AM-FM combo in a small market. This acquisition was the foundation of companies that owned and operated more than sixty successful radio stations in twenty-plus markets, all east of the Mississippi River.
