By reengineering Administration Dept. processes, we streamlined their processes, improved customer satisfaction and realized $8,000,000 savings in the first year. Projects included processes of health care, procurement, information systems, management & administration, human resources, facilities planning & management, supply chain management, and financial services. Heavily involved in selecting processes to be improved and making monthly senior management presentations.This was achieved by developing the Business Process Redesign (BPR) methodology and techniques, co-authored by me, describing methods used, its tools, and processes to be improved. We created business models of all the disciplines within the department. Each discipline had between 5 to 10 people. We also looked at the information systems that were updated on a daily basis. Because so many information systems contained overlapping information that was being updated on different cycles, this resulted in information management contamination. No one knew which information system had the most current information. We decided to create a single information system. During the process change we had to identify duplicate information systems and make one system the master for each piece of data. Because of the success of this project I was later appointed Team Leader for the Operations Department Improvement Project (chemistry, health physics, operations, and the outage process) resulting in streamlining their processes. This plant changed from a troubled facility to one of the lowest cost producers of power in America, showing that we substantially reduced operating costs.●Plant Configuration Manager of Westinghouse's AP 600 nuclear reactor using a 4-Dimensional intelligent plant model for design, construction, maintenance, and plant modifications.● Program Manager of management and technical seminars established and built two responsive profitable organizations. Events required me to be heavily involved in business development recruit executive level speakers to present at each conference, develop timely/relevant content and spearhead ongoing marketing/social media initiatives.
