About Paul Shaw

After many years in the entertainment and leisure sector, I decided to set up my own business consultancy firm, Mercatus Consulting, in 2012. As an independent consultant and as a Business Doctor, I have helped many dozens of small business owners develop growth strategies and have been gratified to see their efforts bear fruit.In 2021, I joined forces with some old colleagues to create Restaurant Developments Ltd, a technology company built to revolutionise the way hospitality businesses manage their digital content online. Together, we developed Restaurant Collective, a not-for-profit, member-led organisation designed to support independent restaurants across the UK. More recently, we have created apptiser - a self service, subscription-based website builder specifically designed for the hospitality sector.I still work as a business consultant and enjoy working on a diverse range of projects.
