Until 2012 I was a lead auditor internal/operational audits within the Dutch Food Safety and Consumer Products Authority (NVWA). I focused at Internal/operational audits, but was regularly involved with IT-audits and financial audits.I professionalised my audit experience working for the audit department of the Dutch former ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Foodsafety. I mainly performed internal audits in a European context.I worked for Skal international because I believe in organic production, as well as I do in fair trade. I was inspector and certifier of organic production methods, organic textiles and FSC. I provided on the job training for international inspctors. I lived and worked for several years as an ex-pat in Colombia, Pakistan and Bolivia. My work focussed on range management, grass root organisations, village development schemes.
