My practice focuses on strategic patent portfolio development and IP counseling with an emphasis on electrical engineering and standard-essential patents (SEPs).I develop and manage large, sophisticated international patent portfolios for some of the top patent filers in the U.S. I also conduct IP due diligence and litigation support, prepare and evaluate claim charts, prepare validity and infringement opinions, perform and analyze prior art searches, consult on product design, and provide IP counseling and consultation services to in-house teams of all sizes. I have had lots of opportunities to train and supervise junior IP practitioners in connection with this work. My technological expertise includes wireless communications, computer networks, medical devices, digital signal processing, streaming media, encryption, software, and general mechanical designs.
