I'm currently living in Seattle area. I joined Prosper Marketplace in August, 2014 as their first Data Scientist. From Senior DS to Senior Director, I built and led a team of Data Scientists on developing ML models to predict credit risk for use in unsecured personal loan and credit card underwriting, pricing, and application fraud detection. In my current role I collaborate with Product, Credit Risk, Engineering, and Legal and Compliance to (1) further ML and AI initiatives, (2) removing procedural and technical bottlenecks in model and strategy deployment, and (3) team upskilling. I came to Prosper from Insight Data Science, which helps PhDs transition from academia to industry.Prior to that, I studied how the brain functions during risky decision-making. My work was heavily influenced by psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral economics with a focus on brain development, for which I was awarded the Ruth L.
