I am the Chief Financial Officer at Faison and am responsible for overseeing our financial reporting, treasury, and tax functions, as well as contributing to the areas of investments, charitable giving, and strategic growth. I am passionate about leading our team here at Faison to manage and mitigate risk, to make a positive and lasting impact on the local community, and to provide insight in an increasingly complex business and tax environment.Prior to joining the Faison team, I served clients in the financial services industry for over 16 years, with a particular emphasis on real estate developers, funds, and REITs. I have extensive experience managing large compliance engagements, including corporations (C Corps and REITs), operating pass-through entities (partnerships and s corporations), and real estate fund structures. I have led advisory teams on significant multi-family, senior living, and commercial real estate transactions and restructuring projects, focusing on value creation and risk mitigation. On the real estate fund side, I provided insight throughout the life cycle of each fund – from initial capital raise and formation to asset acquisition, operation, disposition, and wind-down.Internationally, I worked closely with colleagues in the U.K., Canada, and Luxembourg on cross-border transactions and tax reporting for multi-national clients.
