Facilitate the delivery of the LTA tennis and Padel participation strategy, leading the delivery of strategic plans and activities at local level.

Led the development of key partnerships across the North region to increase participation in tennis and deliver the LTA’s strategy of tennis opened up:- Delivered sustainable 25 year parks operating model agreement, providing the national blueprint for parks tennis.- Led the project to develop a new £1.2 million indoor tennis centre at York St John.

Yorkshire

• Led the development of strategic partnerships and managed a network of key clubs across Yorkshire. Also work with Yorkshire Tennis to deliver an increase in participation across the region:
• Established and led tennis network groups in Sheffield, Hull, York, Doncaster and Rotherham with local partners to deliver a collaborative approach to grow tennis.
• Secured £2.5million investment in tennis facilities in Yorkshire between 2014 - 2018, with major redevelopment of a CITC, park refurbishment at 6 sites and multiple club projects.
• Worked in partnership with key clubs to deliver up to 20% annual membership growth; programme development; facility upgrades and the implementation of IT solutions
• Regional lead for the CITC network in the north of England including advising on programming and operations management and negotiating long term extension to leases

• Managed a network of tennis venues across the East Midlands and worked in partnership with county associations in Derbyshire and Leicestershire to oversee tennis delivery across the region:
• Advised and supported a network of 90 tennis venues across the East Midlands including programming; business planning and securing funding for facility upgrades
• Managed the running of two county associations including an annual operating budget of approximately £350k
• Lead the successful restructure of county volunteers by recruiting people with the key skills to drive the county association forwards
• Managed a small team of staff including administrators, competition organisers and coaches and inspiring them to achieve significantly higher levels of output through implementing practices from high performing elite.
• Introduced new club loans scheme in Leicestershire to make effective use of £300k of county reserves

• Worked as part of the Senior Management Team to manage a venue with facilities including indoor and outdoor tennis courts, swimming pool, fitness suite, training centre and cafe:
• Increased turnover of the facility to in excess of £2 million
• Responsible for managing approximately 70 members of staff including leading and motivating departmental managers and handling disciplinary issues
• Oversaw the Tennis Academy, Aquatics Programme, Fitness Suite and marketing of the facility
• Delivered £500k project to build a new 70 station Fitness Suite in an under utilised area in the building and attract and retain 1200 fitness members

• Managed an extensive city wide tennis programme working as part of the Sheffield Sports Development Unit:
• Developed an award winning tennis development programme with over 500 juniors and adults attending each week
• Established an extensive community outreach and schools programme, as well as one of the leading tournament programmes in the North of England
• Managed a small team of coaches establishing high standards of professionalism and customer service
• Achieved Performance Centre accreditation and the programme produced a number of high level players including multiple national champions and an Orange Bowl winner in 2002 (Jessica Ren)
• Achieved challenging annual budgetary targets each year whilst ensuring that the programmes remained accessible for all sections of the community
