Prof. Dr. Leather is an exceptional technical consultant and professor who works in telecommunications research and development. Prof. Dr. Leather lecturers in RF & Microwave Systems at postgraduate level. For more than three decades he has worked with a variety of mobile radio technologies, has designed and developed handsets, base station equipment, integrated circuits, antenna systems, cellular radio networks and measurement systems. Prof. Leather has prepared and taught a number of tailor-made training courses, filed over fifty patent applications, developed IP strategies, driven 3GPP standardization, received government awards for innovation and published a number of peer-reviewed papers. His research interests are in the fields of mobile radio and wireless communications including propagation and antenna systems. He is specialized in the design and simulation of systems and antennas for both terrestrial and non-terrestrial communications (3G/4G/5G/6G) and radar.
