I am an author and technology industry veteran, who has done business around the globe. My drive to embrace new challenges has seen me involved in a variety of pursuits in the worlds of telecommunications, semiconductors, sport, healthcare, environment and writing. I currently spend much of my time writing and publishing kids' climate action graphic novels that strive to cultivate a sense of hope and opportunity among young children, so that they grow engaged in climate solutions and possibly even pursuing climate careers (www.Steve-Eve.com). I also regularly spend energy on volunteerism, while living in Whistler and exploring the mountains and ocean of the coast with my children.More background...I acquired a large part of my business development expertise during the years in which I held leadership roles within VoIP software firm HotHaus Technologies and, its acquirer, broadband semiconductor developer Broadcom Corporation. After HotHaus was acquired in ‘99, while I was running our European operation in France, I returned to Vancouver and led Broadcom’s highly successful and innovative VoIP group for several years. Marrying a talent for business with a passion for sport and community, I pursued a role in the world of sports and spent an inspiring, and at times physically risky, few years working for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. My role was to direct the post-Games business development planning and execution for 3 new Whistler sport venues to ensure financially viable, long-term, sport and tourism legacies.
